Education is more than the acquisition of skills and knowledge or academia confined to the compulsory years; education is a life-long journey of experiences that build character mould and create a unique person. This journey begins at birth and ends in the fulfillment of life. St Paul's plays an important role in that life-long journey of learning. The school aims to empower individuals as they seek to reach their God-given potential. Education at St Paul's is not just about academia it is about educating the whole child emotionally socially physically spiritually and academically. Founded in 1960 the school is located on one 50 hectare campus on the northern outskirts of Brisbane
At St Paul's School we are exceptionally (and justifiably) proud of our academic track record and our well established reputation for curriculum innovation. Setting and achieving high academic standards right through from our youngest pre-Prep students to our graduating Year 12's are cornerstones in our School's philosophy. The School consists of 4 distinct sub-schools each with its own Director and Head of Studies: Pre-prepJunior School (Prep to Year 6)Middle School (Years 7 to 9)Senior School (Years 10 to 12)International School (High School Preparation and English Language instruction)
Outside class time there is so much on offer at St Paul's. There are so many opportunities sometimes it is hard making a decision but there is definitely something for everyone!St Paul's recognises the important role that social cultural and physical well-being plays in learning and personal growth. That is why we place a great emphasis on developing the confidence creativity teamwork and leadership skills of our students. St Paul's offers a wide range of sporting activities with students participating in TAS (The Associated Schools) competitions throughout the year. Our widely recognised music program gives students from Prep right through to Year 12 the opportunity to participate in private tuition in a diverse range of instruments. These students are encouraged to be develop their performance skills by joining one or more of over twenty different bands choirs or ensembles. Students can also take part in the Cadet Unit duke of Edinburgh Scheme community service organisations such as Amnesty International and Interact debating drama and musical productions chess and golf. Participation in sporting and cultural activities is encouraged on both social and competitive levels to teach fairness and sportsmanship. We aim to develop in each student a commitment to working co-operatively with others to enjoy striving to attain their goals and the courage to maintain their principles in a rapidly changing society.
