Becchi Transition Program - for incoming Yr 7 students
At Salesian College we want you and your son to feel welcomed and supported through the transition from primary to secondary school. Our Becchi Transition Program ensures that your son gets every opportunity to meet with their future classmates become familiar with the College grounds their teachers and the Salesian ethos. We want you to feel a part of the family right from the start and hold events for both you and your son well before the school year has even begun!
All staff and students belong to a House. Whilst Years 7 – 9 are organised horizontally by Year Group there are a wide range of activities and projects conducted at the House level. Years 10 – 12 are vertically structured with each homeroom consisting of boys from each of Years 10 and 12. Pastoral Care is deliverd primarily through the Homeroom System.

Our innovative Year 9 Program conducted on our completely separate Mannix Campus encourages growing independence offers hands-on learning experiences and adopts an enquiry learning approach.
Middle Years Program & Student Wellbeing
Our Middle Years Program seeks to promote the learning and wellbeing of students. The program focuses upon developing a strong sense of communal identity encourages increasing choice and seeks to offer all students challenging and relevant learning experiences. Our Whole School Wellbeing Framework seeks to promote support and restore the wellbeing of students by the provision of a supportive community context the development of educative programs and the provision of a variety of services.
Learning Technology Upgrade
Multimedia Classroom Project: every classroom has an interactive electronic whiteboard computer with network and internet access dVD player and sound system. Exciting Learning technology subjectsw are available including: game design danimation and 3D modelling.
Students at Salesian College also have access to a vast array of sporting cultural and community and recreational opportunities including Sport music drama debating & Public Speaking chess bike Riding canoeing and ice skating.
