About Northside Christian College

Northside Christian College was established 25 years ago and since then has demonstrated consistently high academic results and provided students with pathways to tertiary studies and employment. The college has a breadth of subject and co-curricular offerings and caring and committed teachers. The college is a self-governed co-educational Christian school which was established by the Northside Christian Church. Families at the school today represent approximately 100 different Christian congregations across Brisbane. Some of the distinctive qualities of the school are a commitment to excellence; training and equipping children for their future vocations; the good relationship between dedicated teachers and their students; service to the community and strong Christian values.


Our aim in Prep is to provide children with positive experiences to prepare them for the more formal learning of Year One. In Primary years students focus on numeracy literacy studies of society and the environment art and music. There is a Support Learning program for students who require additional assistance. In Secondary years students study core subjects and are able to select from a wide range of electives such as Business Information Technology information and Software Technology Home Economics french and Japanese.

Extra Curricular program

The extra curricular program is rich and varied. There is a range of competitive sporting teams and sporting carnivals. The College has tuition in voice speech drama and most instruments involving over 300 students. There is also a school band astring ensemble and choir.

Community Service

Through the College's Missions Programs older students have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to society. Students assist with local charities organise fund-raising or participate in charitable projects overseas.

After School and Vacation Care

The college offers activities and supervision for children after school and during vacations. Students enjoy a range of organised fun activities and sports as well as homework time on school days.

College Café

At the College Café children can enjoy quality food at a subsidised rate. The emphasis is on healthy natural home-style cooked meals and snacks.
