Abbotsleigh is a Pre K to Year
12 day and Year 7-12 boarding school for girls with a reputation for excellence
for more than 125 years. It is an Independent Anglican school. Each girl is
encouraged to develop her potential in a caring Christian environment by
fostering her pursuit of personal and academic excellence. By providing a broad
well balanced education the School helps each girl to develop both independence
and interdependence an appreciation of diversity and a philosophy of life which

Early Learning Centre is a warm and inviting space for boys and girls up to five
years of age while our Transition class is specially designed for girls aged
four. Both the ELC and Transition class are based on the Woonona Avenue campus.
Junior School has undergone a major transformation. The campus now has light
filled flexible learning spaces with ready access to technology. There is also a
specialist art centre featuring a stimulating purpose built space with a
comfortable mezzanine area for art appreciation and computer assisted design.

Outside the classroom
There are a range of activities in which girls can participate outside the
classroom. These range from musical ensembles and choirs to clubs and sport.
Clubs cover such areas as debating environment robotics service tournament of
Minds and a student newspaper. Sports offered throughout the year include
football (Years 4-6) minkey (Year 4 and 5) and hockey (Year 6) netball (Years
4-6) and tennis (Years 5-6).
